Description

Roasted garlic heads emerge sweet and soft, mingling with cream cheese and sour cream for a velvety dip. A sprinkle of parsley brightens each creamy spoonful—ideal with veggies, crackers, or warm toasts.

Ingredients

  • 2 heads garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice off the top of each garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 40 minutes.
  3. Allow the roasted garlic to cool, then squeeze the soft cloves into a bowl and mash into a paste.
  4. Add cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise to the garlic paste and stir until smooth.
  5. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper and mix well.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, garnish with chopped parsley, and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Roasting the garlic deeply enhances its sweetness and depth of flavor.
  • Adjust the salt and pepper to taste or substitute with smoked paprika for a twist.
  • Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Serve with fresh vegetables, crackers, or toasted bread slices.
