Description

Crunchy mixed nuts coated in a silky honey-butter glaze, smoky paprika, and cayenne. Roasted golden to perfection, these spicy-sweet morsels deliver warmth, sweetness, and a satisfying snap.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed nuts
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat then stir in honey, brown sugar, cinnamon, cayenne, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Add mixed nuts to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the spicy-sweet glaze.
  4. Spread coated nuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Roast in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until nuts are golden and fragrant.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet to allow the glaze to harden.

Notes

  • Store cooled nuts in an airtight container for up to two weeks
  • Adjust cayenne pepper amount to control the heat level
  • For extra crunch, increase roasting time by a few minutes
  • You can substitute maple syrup for honey for a different flavor
