Description
Golden pasta morsels become crispy bites in the air fryer, each sprinkled with Parmesan, garlic, and Italian herbs for an addictive crunch that’s perfect for snacking or entertaining.
Ingredients
- 225 grams dried short pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
- Cook the pasta in boiling water for 7 to 8 minutes until just al dente, then drain and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the cooked pasta with olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese.
- Arrange the pasta in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving small gaps for air circulation.
- Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket or stirring halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping.
- Continue cooking until the pasta chips are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool for a few minutes to reach maximum crunch.
Notes
- Use a short, uniform pasta shape like shells or penne for best results.
- Shaking the basket halfway through prevents uneven browning and sticking.
- Store any leftover pasta chips in an airtight container to maintain crispness.
- Feel free to experiment with spices such as paprika or chili flakes for extra flavor.
